These strips let the operator know when the sterilization process is complete. This guards against unfinished cycles. Completion is indicated when the entire length of the strip changes to black. Non-uniformity of color is easily observed.

Blue Autoclave Indicator Tape has excellent adhesion and is designed specially for use on disposable wraps. White stripes turn to black, indicating that the pack has undergone a steam sterilization cycle. Not to be used on linen or muslin.
Keep track of what has been steam-sterilized with autoclave tape. Tape is white before sterilization, and has black bands after 15 minutes exposure at 250°F (121.1°C).
Use one of these indicator strips in every cycle to check for accurate temperature readings. Chemical indicator strips are for steam sterilizers only. 250 strips per pack.
