For the clarification of extremely viscous samples that may clog a membrane filter too quickly, or for clarification procedures where a membrane filter is not required. A nominal 1.0 micron binderless 100% borosilicate glass fiber filter with a low affinity for protein is enclosed in an acrylic housing. The 1.0 micron pore size is ideal for the filtration of cell media separations prior to sterilization. It™s also an excellent choice for general filtration of solutions with large particulate loads because its high contaminant loading ability allows high throughputs. The 25GS is individually blister-packaged, sterilized by gamma radiation, and not autoclavable.
