For applications where maximum sample recovery is essential, such as tissue culture media preparation, sterile filtration and clarification of biological fluids, and protein and enzyme filtrations, choose the sterile 25mm, 25GSS as your syringe filter. The 25GSS contains a PES (polyethersulfone) membrane filter designed specifically to provide high throughputs and quick flow rates when filtering or sterilizing proteinaceous solutions. The 25GSS also contains a 1.0 micron borosilicate glass prefilter, making the 25GSS capable of filtering solutions of even higher viscosity. The prefilter and PES membrane filter are enclosed in a nonautoclavable acrylic housing without adhesives. Each unit is presterilized by gamma radiation and individually blister-packaged. All units are labeled with pore size and filter type for quick identification, and all are tested to verify the integrity of the filter and the housing. Holdup volume of<60µL and sample volume of<150mL.

The 25SS features a housing made of modified acrylic that is designed to support the membrane bi-directionally, allowing sample injection or aspiration. The 25SS filters are labeled with pore size and filter type. All filters are tested to verify filter and housing integrity.
