ThermalSeal RTS films are 50 µm polyolefin with 50 µm inert encapsulated silicone adhesive. They are optically clear with low autofluorescence. The adhesive is non-tacky until pressed on the plate to form the strongest available heat-resistant seal around each well. Adhesive over sample wells remains encapsulated and inert. ThermalSeal RTS films fit within the edges of raised-rim plates. The non-tacky adhesive surface simplifies handling. Dimensions 76.2 x 133.4 mm. With end tabs removed, length is 113.0 mm. Recommended for temperatures from -70 °C to +100 °C. DMSO resistant.

Our Black Seal is a foil-based heat seal which is coated on the sealing surface with a low fluorescence black pigment. This renders it ideal for manual, semi-automated, and automated heat sealing of light-sensitive samples, and for fluorescence and luminescence detection applications.

Our Thermal Bond heat seal is a heavy duty laminate foil seal suitable for providing a very strong, but peelable seal. It demonstrates very good solvent resistance and can be used for very low temperature compound storage, in DMSO and organic solvents, and long term room temperature storage such that it is recommended as suitable for sample transportation.
The seal can be pierced only by using a blade or using the 4titude® Pierce Plate (4ti-0398).

Our DMSO Resistant Peel Seal is a foil seal compatible with polypropylene and forming an excellent seal to cyclic olefin copolymer (COC) plates.
The solvent resistance of this seal enables its use for low and room temperature compound storage in Dimethyl Sulfoxide (DMSO) and organic solvents. 100% DMSO can be stored at room temperature for 12 months without deterioration of the seal.
It forms a weld seal to polyethylene plates and cannot be peeled off. Access is by piercing using a blade, needle, or a 4titude® Pierce Plate (4ti-0398). It can be removed from polypropylene and COC plates by peeling and can be peeled directly from a plate immediately after removal from a freezer.

Our Clear Weld Seal Mark II is an optically clear polymer film forming a permanent seal to polypropylene plates. The optical clarity of this seal enables its use for sealing plates required for imaging use, including fluorescent detection methods such as qPCR and colorimetric assays. The Clear Weld Seal Mark II forms a complete seal to a plate, enabling both low and very high temperature uses, including low temperature storage and high temperature incubations.
This seal is suitable for PCR/qPCR, even without the use of a pressurised heated lid, and is 100% effective when used in water bath thermal cyclers. The permanent nature of this 100% effective seal renders it suitable for the storage and disposal of hazardous material. Clear Weld Seal Mark II demonstrates a good solvent resistance and can be utilized for long term compound storage. Samples can be accessed by pre piercing with a blade, needle or our Pierce Plate (4ti-0398).

This strong adhesive seal was developed to facilitate easy sample removal with a manual or automated system. The optical windows are cross-cut, allowing for easy access to the sample wells with a tip or probe with minimal pressure.

Our Air-O-Seal is a hydrophobic gas permeable adhesive seal which seals assay and tissue culture plates, microplates and storage plates.
The Air-O-Seal prevents evaporation and contamination whilst enabling cells to breathe. It is made of a non-woven fibre with an acrylate adhesive layer for effective sealing.
The seal has a low moisture transfer rate and a porosity enabling gas exchange. Due to its paper-based material it should be used in wet conditions. The seal is suitable for cell culture and enables long term culture with significantly reduced evaporation. It is resistant to acids, DMSO, detergents, ethanol, glycerol, isopropanol and sodium hypochlorite (bleach).

This unique seal has optically clear adhesive free windows. These windows can be imaged through, and also allow for gas exchange. The clear film is made of a porous material which allows for a uniform air and CO‚‚ exchange, whilst acting as a moisture barrier and preventing evaporation.
This transparent polyester-based film has a medium strength adhesive. It is designed as a low-cost sealing option, and useful for temporary storage and as a cover for applications such as centrifugation.
