MBP® ART Low Retention Tips

Low Retention technology employs a special process that makes ART Tips extremely hydrophobic. During aspiration and dispensing modes, an extraordinary surface energy on the inside of the tip causes liquid to dispense from the tip at a greater rate. This improves sample accuracy and reproducibility, and reduces sample retention inside the tip. Aerosol Resistant Tips (ART) have a patented self-sealing barrier that traps contaminating aerosols and liquids. When the barrier material is contacted by a liquid sample, airflow within the pipet tip is completely blocked, protecting the pipettor barrel from crossover contamination.
